Shannon grew up in the Blue Mountains, before meeting and marrying her husband and moving to the foothills in Emu Plains, where they are raising their two children. Shannon studied Visual Arts teaching and has been teaching high school Visual Arts and Photography for the past 15+ years. Her love of yoga grew as she discovered how it reduced her stress and gave her much needed ‘me time’.
She completed her Kid’s Yoga Teaching qualifications in 2017, intending to bring more yoga & mindfulness into her classroom, as she has noticed an increase in anxiety and mental health conditions in today’s classrooms. She then decided to pursue the full qualifications and completed the 460 hour Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training through the IYTA in 2018.
Shannon’s qualifications:
– Qualified Kids Yoga Teacher (Preschool, Primary 1 & 2, High School) through Kids Yoga Education in 2017
– 460 hour Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training through IYTA in 2018
Shannon loves to travel, making memories with her family and exploring the world. She also loves to cook for family and friends, and always ends up over-catering.
Her favourite yoga pose is Tree.
