Ayurveda Blue Mountains & Penrith

Ayurveda originated in India and goes hand in hand with yoga, focusing on overall health and dietary needs.  It is a system of healing and in Sanskrit, ayur means life or living, and veda means knowledge, so Ayurveda can be defined as the “knowledge of living”.

Suzanne Ellis trained as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant in 2015 and continues under the mentorship of Dr Rama Prasad.  An Ayurvedic consultation consists of an analysis of your body type and tongue analysis.

Next Clinic Day with Rama Prasad – Sunday July 1 9-5pm.  Email or call for appointments.

Body Type is analysed according to the three doshas vata, pitta and kapha which are made up of the five elements -Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth.  Understanding your natural constitution can be a powerful tool on the road to health as you gain a deeper understanding of your body and where any imbalances may lie.

Tongue Analysis – the tongue is one of about 11 diagnostic tools in Ayurveda and provides a map of the human body including skeleton and organs.  The colour and texture of the tongue and any coating can also tell you a lot about your health.
